*When someone says they are an artist, you automatically assume they paint on a canvas stapled on wood in a square. LOL. As a multi-media artist, I have several “canvases”. #1 I call a backing, #2 I call the frontage.
*Backing would be a canvas, metal, wood, glass, plastic, paper, or any combination of the above. It needs to be strong enough to hold whatever you are going to apply and/or attach to it.
*Frontage would be the creative flow that you unleash unto your Backing. Multi-Media… All kinds of paint, paper, bent metal, wood in all shapes and sizes, pcs of glass, plastic, paper in all its glory. Liquids too many to even mention, ink, pencil, charcoal, etc… Go outside and grab a handful of nature. Your imagination is unlimited.
*This is what I do. These are a few of my creations. This is where I start. My mind is constantly moving and thinking.
